South Hobart Primary School Redevelopment
Four new interlinked GLA’s and amenities were built on a relatively underutilized and isolated play area and an adjoining section of former road reserve that we ascertained was now our Client’s property. The new building is also linked to existing school buildings by means of a new covered outdoor gathering space integrated with ramps, in place of an outdated amenities area. The school now has code compliant equitable access to the entire length of the campus. Four new GLA’s were built, when the brief was for three.
The built form of the new GLA’s in particular, reflects the unique aspirations and engagement of the South Hobart Primary School community
